Mister Fountains?

I have one of those fountains that create a mist to flow from it. I read the box and the instructions but I cant seem to find if it's ok to add scented oils to the water. Does anyone know?

vibrations make the water molecules break up into mist, im not too sure about the oil as it is lighter. Try it and find out
