Im a female,
I can sorta sing and I dont play any instruments but
I would like to learn how to write a variety of songs.,
Im sicka all the top females singing about cheating, sex, love, men/relationships etc.
Even mariah carey is boring me!!
I need to learn how to make hit songs that dont just center on three issues. That makes for a rather boring CD.

Have you heared Ludacris new song runaway love???? If you write a song like that about real stuff(in this case runaways) then you aren't any any of these catorgories.....i'll name a few
1. Teen pregency
2. Aids
3. School Violence
4. Teen Suicide
5. Child Abuse
6. Abuse
stuff like that.......hope that helps you out

Sounds like you do have great potential as a songwriter. If you have material like that, sounds like you are a good part of the way there already. It is sooo needed. Sure beats the mind-bubblegum that's out there.
I only wrote some poems, and some stories. How to do that is, you probably know, get real quite in you're head, and the idea will just come through. Then everything connected with it comes through all at once, you can hardly keep up with it, to get it all down.
Then collaborate? Since you sing, you might have friends now, whose talents run in the same direction.
Maybe someone who keeps comin' up with music notes, without the words.
Courses can probably help, and some maybe don't cost much.
Are you literate yourself in music now? Or does it all come natural. Personally, I think totally natural is the best way to start with. Then you know it's in you're heart, too.
Someone who has the rest is findable. You'll make a great duo.
Try the newspapers! I found a group that wanted to try me out singing, just by doing that. They were actually advertising for a singer.
Open mike nights. All of that for trying out what ya get created.

i write a poem but then i try to add rhythm and beat and try to make it sound good and bam a good song.
