They should: 1. They are supplied by the public taxpayers
2. If you have nothing to hide (this is sticky because you are honest and someone would plant something in your locker then you take the rap. #2 goes for not
3. Schools have already established rules for privacy. This would be and either column
Good luck...school has changed tremendously since I went.

Florida school law allows for locker searches with reasonable suspicion. (this is less stringent than the "probably cause" required for adults in general population) True, contents are private, but the student doesn't even have to be legally notified before a locker search. Things become tricky when something incriminating is found. The policy should be presented in writing upfront, whether at registration or posted. Lockers should not be routinely searched, but if a student is suspected of having drugs or weapons on campus, then I agree there should be a search. It is for the safety of all.

many students have tried this but you have to remember although your stuff is in the locker you are on private property and you dont own the lockers just using them I dont agree on random searches but probale cause law should be used or an agreement signed about the use of the locker with detailed rules about searches you can allways not use a locker.

Yes. I understand the whole personal privacy thing, but the safety of other students (and for my safety) should be more important. There shouldn't be anything in your locker which you don't want others to see. If you don't want others to see it, leave it at home. During a locker search, they are not going to read you notes to or from your friends, they are just looking for weapons and illegal items.

1. Yes, I think they should. With everything that's going on now, we forget that school is supposed to be a safe place to learn. If a student has anything that could be dangerous to others, then it's crucial that the people at school send a message that if anything not contributing to the learning environment and well-being of students is not welcome at a school.
2. I get the privacy issue, but if you find out that the person next to you has a gun or something like that which could be used to shoot you then I think you'll quickly forget about whether your personal stuff (which is nothing to feel guilt about) is seen by authorities.

No, never. I know that some people have drugs in there and that's bad but that's not the reason I don't want them to search people's locker:
Privacy is the main thing, don't you hate it when people invade your privacy, I find it very annoying, even if I don't have anything to hide, it's still annoying.

Nietzsche estimated that the 20 th century as a results of it quite is decline in Judeo-Christian values might see the worldwide in super upheaval. He replaced into ideal. 1000's of tens of millions died on the palms of tyrannical, "innovative" governments, and there is extra to come again.

No I don't think they should. I've had it happen to me. Someone thought I had pot on school when I really didnt and they searched my locker and found condoms and magazines but no pot...I think that they should have proof first.

I DONT THINK THEY SHOULD AND THEY CAN'T BECAUSE SOME STUDENTS ARE MINORS AND BY LAW THEY CAN'T SEARCH YOUR PERSONAL BELONGINGS WITHOUT CONSENT OF THE PARENT
