Was it a top 10 song on a particular radio station? Check out that radio's station and see if they keep archives of their to 10 songs of the week.....

You can type in the words you remember and most likely it will pop up song results and artist results (use google) and then take the songs one by one and find somehwhere (iTunes, WMP, Real Player etc.) and test the songs until you find which one it is

the best thing to do is maybe either sing it to a friend to see if they recognize it, wait till it comes on the radio, or just type in some of the lyrics on google and see if it comes up...usually i type in something like .... 'i wanna be with you, its crazy but its true (lyrics)' and see what gets pulled up
