does david blaine really have powers or is it all tricks.. i watched his show one time and he levitated.. is that actually possible? lyk all the things he do? or are they just illusions?

I saw that some of the tricks are obviously so fake. But, about the floating in the air that is weird! Did you ever see the trick were he bent the quarter with his mouth and then bites it in half into two peices and then blows into back into a reqular quarter. What he really does is someone gives him a regular quarter and he does it really fast and slides the reagular quarter back in his pocket and grabs his trick quarter and the trick quarter is in two separates peices in half but they are connected magneticly so when he bites the quarter the quarter folds down and sticks to the back of the other haf of the quarter so it looks like just one half of the quarter. It seems like the other peice is in his mouth.
Then he pretends he blows it out of his mouth and back to a solid quarter but what really happens is he blows air and makes it seem like he was blowing the half of the quarter back to place but then he just fold back of the quarter into place when the have was stuck to the back all along. Then again he sqitches his trick quarter with his magnetic quarter and give it back to his audience.

I think he is both an incredibly talented illusionist and possibly an agent of Satan. lol That sounds like I'm trying to make a joke, but actually, I'm serious. When you allow evil forces (which DO exist) to control you, all kinds of things can happen. I have heard of people levitating and such, and it is entirely a work of the devil. He makes his followers be able to sometimes perform "miracles" in order to gain their trust and complete submission...and then he destroys them. He wows people with incredible, unrealistic things. He is the biggest liar there ever was. I think David Blaine has succumbed to this. At least that's my opinion; take it or leave it.

Illusions. There are various ways to appear that your levitating. I know one of them, but am not very good at it. It deals with having one shoe off, and holding it with your feet, and standing on one foots toes. You need to be aware of the angles with this approach. (This is not the way Blaine does it, though. I don't know his method, but I think it leaked out to the internet a few years back.)
Of course, now that he's gone away from the street magic and gone towards the publicity stunts, he's far less impressive.

All magicians use illusion to pull off their tricks. Also, with TV shows, the audience/witnesses are clued in on the complex tricks and are told to act amazed and bewildered for the camera.

Blaine a magician..... yes and no..... he a retarded magician who just good at grabbing attention and manipulating and generating his own publicity. As far as being a magician there are far better and more talented practitioners.

He's a magician pure and simple. He has no supernatural powers, none of them do. They are very talented illusionists. Things that make you go "WOW".
