please all who read this pray for me,for i am a bass-baritone who has had hurnia surgery and since that i find i cannot sing as of yet, so any words of advice and comfort glady welcomed!

Words of wisdom: ask you doctor then find something to do and dont talk much........that sucks that you cannot sing.

How about you sing solo, so-low that no one can hear you - it is not that funny but oh well, get better soon.

I too am a singer and cannot imagine what it would be like to not be able to sing. However, you should check with your doctor about what you should and should not be doing right now. You want to definately recouperate before getting back into the groove of our old self.
You know, you should take this time to rest & reflect on why you like singing or music so much. Grab a pen & pencil and write your thoughts on paper. They could turn into a song or poem that you can perfect vocally later when you can sing. In the future, when you look back at this time, you'll have written proof of how you felt or what you were going through and you'll apreciate what you have.

I wouldn't think a hernia operation would affect your singing permanently. I had one and it never affected my singing.
Once you heal up, you'll be fine. If the song is in you it will find a way out.

It must be hard to not be able to do the one thing you love most. Take it slow and don't rush yourself. Take good care, and when you feel up to singing again, belt one out for all of us!
