I can't speak for anybody else, but to me they are real. As an infant (and yes, I can remember that far back in vivid detail) I had frequent recurring dreams (nightmares actually) that no child's mind should have been able to invent. I remember the first dream happened when I was in my crib so I couldn't have been more than a few months old and they continued for several years. The dream was not in a modern setting and I was an adult, and the event which I saw over and over again was torture (literally.) As I grew older, I began having different dreams set in the same general era which revolved around various people, some of which I later met in real life. These people told me they had similar dreams (without any knowledge of my own) and detail for detail they were the same.
So for me, yes... past lives or existences are very real.

My answer is far differant than everyone elses. I DO beleive in past lives but not for the same reason that most peope do. I do not beleive in reincarnation or such. To me the human being is nothing more than a living battery cell. WHen that cell decays and falls apart and dies as humans do, that energy built within us that we call a soul is pure energy released back into the world around us.
So say you conceive a child in a place where people are dying around you, that child when born is formed not just of the two human beings but the soul that gives that baby life is gathered by the energy around it, and if their are people dying, that energy can be absorbed into the new life. The close the conception to the death, the stronger the energy is and the better chance you will remember some one ELSES life that you now share their energy.
Most of us never feel a past life because the energy that creates our souls is from so many particles of energy that have not been subjected to a place of such death. SO we absorb the energy of possibly hundreds or thousands of other peoples former energy. Energy does not just dissapear it goes back into the earth.
So in a way yes you can have a past life experience and to me you are sharing the energy of someone that was close to you or still has a strong will to keep their energy intact (This is why i beleive in ghosts, it is a human that died and refuses to accept their death and is able to maintain their energy form together and manifestate)
This is all just my beleif and opinion, but I do beleive our lives energy is returned to mother earth which again renews itself into new life. A large enough concentration of one source of energy can trigger a past life.

I've seen children (0-8 years) on tv telling about their past lives and what they were in their past life. I think the memory is fresh at that point of time. But then again, it differs from person to person. Some people do remember and some people don't. I wonder if this has anything to do with the 'deja vu' feeling.

Yes, I am a firm believer in past lives. Each of us has lived many lives as both male and female in many different cultures, faiths and races. Our fears, phobias and racist beliefs are quite often based upon our past life experiences. Someone with a fear of water most likely drowned in a past life, and someone who does not like tight things around their neck was most likely strangled or hung in a past life.
Reincarnation was a part of almost every religion until Christianity came along. It was, and still is, a natural part of the evolution of the soul, with each lifetime teaching the soul new lessons until the soul is learned enough to be able to ascend to the heavens and live among the Great Gods as one of them.
Those who do not believe in reincarnation in this lifetime are learning a lesson also. They are learning the meaning of timelessness and what it means to be without it.

I've seen, read about and heard eye witness accounts of many past lives, and I'm pretty sure they were all real?

I feel that we all had a past life. It's in my belief that deja vu is a credible way to prove it, who is to say that this is the only life we can live. the "BIBLE" I truly belive there is a "GOD" and that he did live vicarously through christ, REMEMBER JOHN 3:16 and for this reason I feel that life on earth will end once again as it has so many times before, your armageddon, we will only achieve everlasting life if we can get along....

The human brain still has a lot of un-discovered territory and the power that lies with-in it is still very mysterious. Now is it possible for the brain to see past lives or is it just the mind just going along with something that it is told while it lies in a suggestive state. who really knows...... But it is very possible for the human brain to be carrying the knowledge of our past ancestors and what they may have experiences in their time and age. Why?, Because we are all linked to our ancestors in that manner Called (Genetic). Why is that so easy to believe for no one on the face of this earth knows how much memory the human brain can truly store. So I can say in a way our brain can tell us about our pass lives thru the memories of our ancestors........................

i am a firm believer of past lives, as are my friends. my best friend has actually had a reading of hers, and it was very interesting. i have had flashback that would be impossible for me to dream. and sometimes, those creepy odd intuition moments are really linked somehow to one of your previous lives. they may not have much to do with your present life, but i believe everyone is put on this earht for a purpose. if you fail to accomplish that in one life, you will be brought back until you d and you can pass on to the otherworld.

What I been told is a new soul(under 5 lives) will never believe. All other souls will wonder about it. But an old soul will know. So I'm not a new soul because I wonder. Sometime I know.

If you've remembered any, then it's not a matter of belief, it's a matter of knowledge.
So, I don't believe in past lives. I know it.
