Well, it is too complicated to answer. Only God knows who poisoned their former KGB spy.

Putin has been steadily moving Russia along towards a police state since he took office. They are not poisoning all former government officials, they just get rid of the ones who speak about nasty things like the truth, when the truth does not paint Putin or his actions in a favorable light.

My first knee jerk reaction is that maybe Russia has some skeletons in their closet that they definitely don't want exposed.
But, then again, unless more information is discovered and possibly the murder solved - who knows what covert operations are going down from day to day.

Putin may think of himself as Raskolnikov-- who knows.

Nothing will come out of the investigation though, that much is sure.

they know how to deal with threats to thier power - I mean they dont want the world to know about how many thugs they have in power there and that guy was exposing them to the world
