A large jar of candy I don't like. (And it wasn't even that nice of a jar.)

OMG! Thank you for reminding me of this -- gave me a good laugh. My sister-in-law and my mother-in-law were both infamous for giving me the most hideous things... things THEY liked to wear, but were NOT me at all. One of the absolute worst was this miniature "Faberege" egg necklace from the "Joan Rivers Collection" on Home Shopping or QVC (one of those networks). I'll see if I can find a link with a picture -- it's really hideous.

LOL -- it looked like this, only even more hideous...

properly my grandma used to get me dolls each 3 hundred and sixty 5 days whilst i replaced right into a newborn. no longer lovable ones to play with- they have been those ones that stood nevertheless and looked like they are observing you in the process the evening. I hated them and felt so undesirable that i did no longer choose to tell her. ultimately she stopped getting me them. Now I relatively have a modern-day registry and on the vacations it quite is extra uncomplicated for her to get me stuff i for my area like. I recommend making a registry present checklist so which you will no longer get any undesirable presents returned!

About three years ago I gave a friend of mine a beautiful candle set. She went on and on about how much she loved it and how nice it would go in her dining room. Well low and behold last year I got it back. I guess she forgot who gave it to her. But that's o.k, she'll get it again in 2008.
