Because the name "Solstice" refers to the time of the year when the sun sunrise goes from either the longest day to shorter days, or in the winter the shortest day to longer days. This is important because as we all know the "Sun never sets on the British Empire". therefore no Solstice! :-) hahahah Been wanting to use that line in a sentence. :-) In all honesty though, I suspect that the main reason involves the fact that he car is not being actively exported and sold in foreign configuration for driving on the left of the road. If it is sold in Europe already then imagine that England will eventually get a model with the steering wheel in the correct spot. If not Pontiac might not have spec';d it out for European standards yet. While the solstice and the Saturn version are becoming more popular here in the U.S. they are still rather limited production models and GM is in such financial trouble that they are limiting their expenses on vehicles that might have a limited market. As others have mentioned they aren't as fuel efficient, or sporty as some of the competition "across the pond".

Scotland will decide in 2014 democratically whether to remain with in the " United " Kingdom or become a separate nation . When we decide to seek independence a number of factors come into play .At present ,members of the EU only need a passport or ID card to travel between countries. There are no longer any frontier controls at the borders between 22 EU countries.

Pontiac refuses to market to the UK for a simple reason.

You drive on the wrong side of the road!!!
That and we can't seem to get the Union workers to relocate the steering wheel for ya'll.

I disagree, I've seen a few, but Pontiac cars over here in Britain are extreemly rare, you just have to know where to look. There is one in Widnes, in Cheshire (I know this as I go past the persons house sometimes) So really, there are a few of those cars here, but its just a question of where to look plus, they are quite expensive, so that's another contributing factor. But yes, they are over here. Also, Pontiac don't market them over here, you have to import them.

Pontiac does not sell any cars in the UK. They are not very fuel efficient cars and petrol costs more in the UK than in the USA also people are more concerned about pollution.
