It's a place with a nice standard of living whose rulers and corporations have sucessfully fooled the populace into ignoring the fact that they are responsible for fomenting all sorts of economic exploitation aborad.

Oh how nice, some people like to stereotype Americans as being war mongers or bullies to the third world countries whose leaders routinely call for mass genocide because we have a Christian/Judeao society. We don't follow the teachings of some child molesting prophet named Mohammed who believes everyone who is not Muslim must die.
America dd not ask for the war on terror, it was forced upon us by radical muslim terrorists. Nor do Americans ever give up any fight because of cowardness.
The USA will continue to kill the evil hate filled vicious enemy for as long as it takes.

we are a powerful people. The world would be in a more of mess than it is now if we hadn't helped everyone out with out money, food, military and humanitariun aid. We must be powerful too because our wonderful president brings fear to all with his power to cause hurricanes, control the weather, etc.

I live here. I have thought of leaving, but that is for very specific reasons (war, lack of health insurance). There is a lot of beauty and good here, and there are problems. There is no good generalization that applies to all Americans.

Depends on the individual person. My personal opinion of people who paint an entire group of people with one broad brush, however... well, let's just not go there.

I think we have a lot of potential, we could be a really great society being free and all, but these days I don't think Americans, or at least the government, are being a cool as they could be

hard to judge or generalise, really. those I've encountered had been ok or nice so far. But then, no matter who you meet, it's hard to judge them until you know them a little better.
