We are living in a very difficult times morally and ethically everyone seems to be doing what they want. There are no rules just disrespect. Blacks I agree should not of been repressed. However if it was not for white people they would never have anything. Look at their country they need white people to help develop their country. There is no progression , of course this statement seems racist, however the truth is the truth, whenever you go into a black area there is a lot of crime and they seem to not care about being progressive in any situation. If Africa were given to whites there would not be the difficulties that there are.
Take it as racism or the truth.

While I do agree with you that it's absurd of the hecklers to demand monetary compensation, I think you perhaps wrote this question while you were a little riled up and forgot that white people file frivolous lawsuits everyday as well. In fact, people from all ethnicities do. I think there IS a common thread that connects these people though: they are usually under-educated, under- or unemployed, and greedy, and also tend to blame soceity for the fact that they are bottom feeders. And yeah: the lawyers are just as bad for taking their cases. Like ol' Shakespeare said: "First--we kill all the lawyers."

As a man apparently white (I have Cherokee and Portuguese in my ancestry) and who grew up in a small town where blacks were not welcome nor safe, I do have a view on this. I do not accept the putting down of other people because they have a different skin color, ethnicity or faith. Mr. Richards made his comments on stage with the spotlights on him. He was not sitting at the bar with some buddies, shooting the bull.
He has himself found fault with his own comments and more so with his own rage. At the same time he should not have been heckled (something that happened before he let go with his rage, including the N-word).
There was nothing friendly about those firefighters. That department and that city has been plagued by problems with racism.
When will this end? When people stop abusing others because of the color of their skin. When people stop stereotyping others because of the color of their skin (as you have done).
It is a sad truth but it is a truth. When people are hit hard in their pocketbooks, they pay attention. If they would pay attention first, they would not pay. Isn't that simple enough?

I don't think money is the answer but definitely an apology is in order. All the other terms you referred to were absolutely uncalled for. You don't think there is some poor white trailer trash who are dead beat dads, or who haven't even made it to high school let alone graduated. Maybe you should do some research and you'd find that the majority of welfare recipients are white. I graduated, make very good money and yes I pay taxes! So my advice to you is to stop being such a racist bigot before you happen to get your a*s*s kicked by the big bad black guy that I am sure you are afraid of deep down inside. I'll pray for your sorry a*s*s.

I agree with not getting paid. It doesn't matter what races are involved- an apology should be enough.
You went way too far with that last couple sentances. If you haven't read the news lately, there was a Civil Rights movement about 40-50 years ago.
The only reason people are racist is because they feel insecure themselves and need to feel superior over someone else.
You don't look like you are that young, don't you think it is about time that you grew up?

Stop being so racist, my bad, you can't stop can you? It's so ingrained into your brain (however small) that you couldn't stop even if you tried. The N word is offensive for a reason. If you knew even a thing about Black history you would know that the word itself is not acceptable in reference to another human being. Why are you so hypocritical? Are you trying to suggest that only black men have trouble getting jobs, that we don't graduate and are not responsible parents? You are not even a hypocrite, you are an idiot, plain and simple. I know this was the aim of this post. You designed it in a way to offend Black people, you probably get kick out of this somehow and I shouldn't have stooped to your level. My girlfriend is white and I know for a fact not all Caucasian people think like you. You need to stop proving your ignorance and learn something, aren't you meant to be the types that graduate? For a supposed graduate, you know surprisingly little.

Mr Curious,
I have been reading your questions and responses to the whole Michael Richrads issue, it seems to me as though you have a problem acknowledging that Michael Richrads is racist on top of that you have totally missed the point why as why people are as mad as they are. Nobody said its ok for blacks to use the word "******" in fact as a black male I detest its use whether you are black or white its offensive and so do alot of black people.
As far as you reference to words like "educated" , "not guillty " etc being used for whites only that right there is the language of a racist redneck unless you are one I would strongly suggest you refrain from using such derogatory references. You do dont not sound like the educated man you porport to be.
How dare you try make blacks seem inferior to whites. You the most ignorant person I have ever encountered. For starters there are alot of black educated taxpayers who happend to be very responsible parents. Secretary General of the united Nations is a black man-koffi annan, Barak Obama, Myself the list goes on.
And yes black people deserve preferential treatment for the 400 years that your people murdered, raped and used for black people nothing treating them worse than ****. Is it fair when black schools get less funding from the government than schools in white suburbs, huh isn't that institutional racist. Or Hurricane Katrina what do you have to say about the government's response to the disaster.
You need to stop being ignorant!

Michael Richards screwed up and said a bad word, big deal. If you disagree with what he said don't go to see his show. The three people who were so offended should never be referred to as men, they aren't,they are low life's who are a perfect example of why blacks are stereotyped as losers. I have many black friends who are ashamed of what these clowns are doing.

First of all, they have every right to be offended when someone utters racial slurs in their direction.
Secondly, what world do you live in? In my world, there are just as many unemployed, tax frauding, irresponsible father, middle school educated WHITE men as there are black, if not MORE.
If you think they're being unreasonable, fine. But, wording it like this shows me that you were the one who called them n-----s. I hope that they...or those like them...sue you for all you're worth someday.
Oh, and by the way, reported.
