I'd say a bear, it has bigger mass, and is much stronger so would be able to crush a lion, although I'm sure the bear would come out pretty injured.

If a black bear, the lion because a few good hounds could wear one down with their speed and agility when cornered, atlthough it took the hunters to finish the bear of course. But a big Kodiak or polar bear could swat the lion's head off like a cork off a bottle, no contest. the only possible way would be if the lion got on the bear's back, such as by pouncing from above as cats like to do, and did real damage to the neck and spine before the bear got it's hind claws sunk into the lion. A direct frontal confrontation with any predator like a BIG bear is stupid, and I doubt a lion would try it.

It depends is it a lady lion vs. a polar bear because polar bear eats EVERYTHING in sight well holla

a lion it`s the strongest animal if u were juding by the size never do that.
