Do you feel pressured to buy, buy, and buy. I used to and was so stress out I couldn't enjoy it. I felt like I had to buy for my children that were growing up. I didn't want them to feel left out. I wish I had not lead them to believe that it was nessarry. I do not buy gifts for Christmas any more. Stopped that about 7 years ago. I give and volunter all year long. Life is much better. Peace.

Our sons are grown, with children of their own. We try to still buy something, but prefer to give them a money gift, as well as a present.
We set aside money all year long for this .
We have 2 sons, daughter in law and present girlfriend, 6 combined grandkids.. my mom, each other (though we usually do not buy for one another this time of year), and three close friends of mine.
Hardship use to be how things were, when we thought everyone expected great amounts of money spent. Now, we give from the heart, and less of the pocket.
The time will come when we will need to cut back even more than we do, and all understand.
Merry Christmas!

no. i don't spend money i don't have in my hand, at christmas or any other time. i see the pressure, though, to buy, buy, buy this time of year, but it doesn't affect me. it did when i was younger, before i figured out how things really work.

A gift does'nt have to be something you by.....if you ask me...(and you pretty much did)....the best gifts to give are a warm heart..a strong shoulder.....a soft word,,,,,and a good ear....these are the things that people don't get enough of in this world....just look around....It's not to hard to notice.
