Liquid Sky. A nutty combination of space aliens, lesbianism, and God only knows what. Dr. Demento would love it!

Have you seen Kalifornia? It stars David Duchovny, Juliette Lewis, Michelle Forbes, and Brad Pitt in his meanest, nastiest role ever. (It might also be his best acting job.) Duchovny and Forbes are yuppies without a cause or much money, so he decides to go on a road trip to check out sites of famous murders to write a book and he brings her along to take the photographs. They need a couple to share the expenses with, and somehow they end up with the trailer trash couple from hell. Disturbing but fascinating. Harold and Maude this ain't.
And speaking of Duchovny, he also co-stars in another cult film, The Rapture, with Mimi Rogers. You have to watch this through to the very end to get the full impact. I don't ever recommend this film to mothers of young children, however. This one will keep you up at night thinking.
By the way, both of these were made before Duchovny became famous for The X-Files.

Pulp Fiction, Harold and Maude is the midnight movie we went to see the night I graduated HS. I will always associate that movie with that event.
One less mentioned one is Zardoz it stared Sean Connery back in his James Bond days and it had giant stone heads that floated in the sky. An obtuse comentary on society. I watched it at 3A.M. while feeding my first child and that night is the only time the movie made any sense.
So I would say Zardoz over the too popular to be a cult movie any more Pulp F*****

I would have to agree wit ktd_73. Kalifornia is a twisted movie. David Duchovany and Brad Pitt both prove what talented actors they are.

If you liked Bud Cort, try Brewster McCloud. I like Black Orpheus. It is Brazilian and it has dubbed or subtitled translation.
I also like Beauty and the Beast , see link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beauty_and_the_Beast_(1946_film). I liked The Grimms Brothers.
