Dances With Wolves. The army is totally stupid and evil. Native Americans are all wonderful and good. There's no ambiguity or complexity at all for a supposedly great movie. However, there is one of the most idiotic scenes I've ever seen in a movie. At one point, a fairly large group of native Americans on horseback chase an army guy into a river and circle around him. Then they start shooting at him. That's right: in a movie celebrating native American culture, they are actually depicted as participating in a circular firing squad.

I have never been able to stay awake past the first 30 minutes of Casablanca. Has always been rated highly by critics and considered a great classic but I find it to be very boring.

Brokeback Mountain. It's now on HBO, and is the first time I have ever used locks to lock a title.
