Get a lawnmower and fill it with gas. Go door to door on a Saturday morning, knocking on doors with long grass. Ask the people if you can mow their front yard for how much you would do it for. Eventually someone will say yes. Do as many as you can.
Make some business cards with your name and phone number on them. Stick them to refridgerator magnets. Give a business card magnet to everyone who lets you mow their lawn, so they can put it on the fridge and call you to work again.
Do a really good job and charge a fair price and they will call you. Find out what other people are charging to do it before you get started, that way you won't be too expensive but you won't be cheating yourself either.
When you have jobs you don't want to do, never say no, just get another kid to do it, one who will do a good job like you would, but one who doesn't have business cards. Pay him most of what you charge, so you get a little money for giving him some work.
Branch out into dog walking and pet-sitting, car washing and vacuuming. Make new business cards.

Since you are only 13 yrs old, too young to hold a regular job. My I suggest that if you have elderly people in your neighbourhood ask them if they need any chores done. Many older people need help with little jobs around the house.Tell them that you are trying to save for some special thing that you need(be honest, if its for a new bike or whatever, say so) Then when you get your pay put it in a bank account. Good luck, young man. I think I would hire you to rake my leaves or walk my dog.
