better to have someone unattached, even if that takes a longer time. My life was ruined by another woman, I got over it it has left some scars, any comments ?

I don't think you can win.
If you are the wife: you get all the chores, his grumpy moods, possibly boring sex, him seeing you first thing in the morning....
If you are the other woman: you get all the waiting, never seeing him at special times like Christmas, full on sex when HE wants it and can come round, not when you want him, him never waking up with you in the morning......

Sorry that you suffered. My comments might be...
If your life was ruined, it was by your husband. It was his choice to be with another woman.
I know lots of unmarried couples who are very happy. I for one seem to feel more independent, while even a long term relationship remains fresh and alive. I'm not sure why, but marriage seems to bring assumed obligations and expectations. If the relationship becomes taken for granted, routine and boring, then what's the point, right...that's where the other woman comes in.
While it might seems exciting to be the other woman, it's no piece of cake either. It's hard to feel good about being the dirty little secret in the long run. You're always on hold.
Just some thoughts...make sense?

So are you saying that you were the other women and he ended up staying with his partner? Or do you mean that you were the partner and he went for another women? If you were the partner and he went for someone else then that was his choice not yours. The only thing you can do about that is think about anything that you may have done in the relationship that could have caused a problem. I am not saying that you did something to cause him to make the choice I am just saying for future relationships know that if there was something you could have done better that you do so for the next time.

I've ben cheated on by my husband..let me just say that you need to get over him. You are all upset over another woman when it is over. Let it go. Move on. People cheat because they are ready to move on and can't tell you goodbye out of fear.
