Your question is a little vague. What time period are you asking about? Currently, our resources are oil, vast and fertile farmland, coal, clean water, diamonds, silicon, mercury, silver, lead, zinc, and iron, just to name a few. It is a vast country with vast resources. The workforce is large for the same reason -- the United States is extremely large.

Hello dear!
Well, USA citizens are not a nation but the combination of all possible nations!
Thus, I would say that the main resources were their will to establish a new, free and independent state (following French revolution and Greek classical ways)
Also, immediately after the problems, they created a constitution that still stands and directs the States to prosperity!
