The wearing of a thong, I am assuming swimsuit. I can't understand what the purpose of it is. I don't think you really need a tan on your butt, nobody would see it anyway, would they?
Flaunting your backside will attract men for sure, but if you show your behind in public they will assume you will show and do even more in private.

When I was 13, I would have never so much as DREAMED of wearing a thong.

When they can buy them with money that they earned, they will be old enough.
Same with condoms.
It's a good guide, I think.
In fact, one will follow the other, when you think about it. What the hell would a 13 year old need to wear a thong for?

im 13 and i wear one and my mom lets me by the way people cant see my under wear line thats the reason i wear one
theres no age requirement my friend has been wearing them since she was 9

why are you in such a hurry to grow up? please don't display yourself as anything less than respectful, a lady. thong underware is trampy and makes a young lady look loose especially when it shows when you lean, stretch, bend over. remember, God loves you. don't belittle yourself.
