I've read from a couple of websites that it can take up to 30 days but I'm wondering if it really takes that long. Anyone have any experience with this?

Receiving an interim security clearance can take less than 30 days. But, it depends on the people who are doing it. If they work with a sense of urgency, they can do it within a few days. But, if they slack off, it can take up to 30 days or longer.
