Tell them... that those passages in Leviticus, understood IN CONTEXT, are not an admonishment against loving sexual relationships between people of the same sex but instead against sex as a form of domination and control. Besides, these passages are part of the Holiness Code which is not binding to modern day Christians (or anyone else for that matter).
You could also tell them that CIVIL marriage has nothing to do with religion. If they think that homosexuality is an abomination to God, that doesn't really MATTER when it comes to legal equality.
Civil marriage laws don't exist to uphold the ideals which opponents want the institution to reflect, so the fact that, in their eyes, same sex marriage "violates" the institution is of no consequence when considering the legalization of same sex marriage.
The majority may feel that the institution SHOULD represent one certain concept (i.e. that it exists strictly for making families) or set of values (i.e. according to the Christian Bible) but marriage law and contracts have never translated that desire into any sort of obligation.

First, God only said it to men, not to women.
Second, God also said in Deuteronomy 22:28-29 that if a man rapes a woman he must pay her father 50 shekles of silver and marry her. Who in their right mind would force a woman to marry her rapist?
That verse is in the old testament. Let the other person say that the OT does not apply anymore, then ask about this next verse from the new testament.
Women should not braid their hair or wear gold jewelry. "...the women adorn themselves in modest apparel, with propriety and moderation, not with braided hair or gold or pearls or costly clothing, but, which is proper for women professing godliness, with good works (1 Timothy 2:9-10).
They are most likely going to say that certain things applied to people during that time, but not to today's society. Tell them that this is exactly how you feel toward gays - that it is a normal part of today's society that should be accepted.
Or, you can always ask them to prove the existence of God, if you do not believe in him.
Furthermore you can do an internet search to find out that there are 1500 animal species that practice homosexuality and bisexuality. Of course a christian won't believe that we are animals, but this is good to keep in mind, because (1)god created homosexuality and (2) sometimes they argue that NO animals practice it.
Good luck.

By pointing out very simply and succinctly that this country is not a Theocracy. What "the Bible" says is only relevant to those that believe in Christianity. Assuming their numbers and influence was large enough do you think that Jewish people should be able to legally outlaw pork products for everyone? Exact same situation.
They want to be a Christian and feel that their Bible says that, fine then let them follow it. I don't, I won't, and it's my right to do so.

I would say that the book of Leviticus in the Bible also states that men should not shave, people should not get tattoos, people should not plant more than one crop in their fields, people should not wear clothes made from more than one fabric, people should not eat pork, and people should not touch the skin of a dead pig. If someone feels so strongly about the exact wording of the Bible, they should also be protesting against barber shops, tattoo parlors, farmers, clothing stores, grocery stores, and football players. If they are not doing so, they do not truly believe in the exact wording of the Bible are only using the Bible to promote their own bigotry.

You can't. People believe what they believe and if they are closed minded and defend their opinions with biblical quotes, then you are most likely not going to change their minds/views on same sex marriages and the gay lifestlye, so don't waste your time trying. You are who you are, and if people don't agree with how you live your life, or the opinions you have, then screw them, they're not the kind of people you want as your friends anyway, so let them be closed minded..they're only hurting themselves.

God never said that. The bible was forged by a pope. God loves alll and that's that. He gave us free will and genetics is a part of us as well. We all should be true to our nature. Are you willing to risk a happy life if it is found out the bible was incorrect. What if a life form from another planet comes here. Then the bible is a proven lie.

It's a tightly held religious belief. Either the person is open-minded, and will come to respect you for who you are in every other facet of your life (and, thus, conclude that perhaps it's really not a sin). Or they're close-minded and you'll never change their mind.
Either way, don't waste your time getting into arguments with them - it'll just make them more defensive. Be happy with who you are and let the ignorant bigots fend for themselves. :-)

Your leading your audience by the way you phrased your question. God is not your enemy and neither are Christians. Why is it so hard to follow God's plan? Homosexual marriage is not how you got here. It is a divine appointment by God. He numbered the hairs on your head. He knew you before you were born and he loves you unconditionally

Actually it says :
"You shall not lay with a man as you would with a woman , it is abomination"
Which still makes no sense to use against gays since I don't lay with my guys as I would with girls ;)

What has it got to do with anyone else? Especially somebody who bases their life on an old book anyway.
