Nope! If that were the case, my house would've been a disaster. There are women in China who work in the fields until the day they deliver. Your body can handle housework, just remember to take your naps when your child does. Besides, if you're too tired for now, rest. We all know how tiring it is during the first trimester, your husband should know too. But as for bending over, nope, not a problem.
I worked shipping/recieving until my third trimester. If you want, put a basket on the floor and sit and toss the toys into the basket. Much easier.

The reason why it hurts is because of the position that your uterus is positioned in your pelvis. it certainly wont hurt your child, You could start teaching your little girl to pick her toys up. It's hard to get an 18 month old to do so I know, but maybe just encourage her to put the toys she was using away for pulling out another.

Yep..toys all over the house and my daughter is only 9months! I don't think you should be worried about it. However, make sure you are bending at the knees when picking up. How does that saying go?? Bend at the knees and not the waist makes it safe?(lol) Next time you see your obgyn ask about it. Good-Luck!!

Bending over a lot is not going to hurt your unborn baby at all but it can hurt your back! Learn to squat and pick up, not bend and pick up. And if it is heavy at all, hold it close to your chest.
Now cleaning with chemicals are another thing. You should wear gloves when using any strong cleaners, or use simple things like vinager or rubbing alcohol (great for glass).

It shouldn't I am 31 weeks pregnant and I still bend over. If you are really concerned you can always make a little game of it with your daughter and have her help you pick things up. It will prepare her to learn how to pick up after herself and give you a little break!

Probably not. I'm sure your baby is fine. Maybe you could ask your daughter to pick up the small toys and maybe even get one of those grabber things to pick them up with.

tell me about it!! it's painful everywhere to bend over!! but it is safe as long as you stop when you feel real PAIN PAIN and as long as you pay attention to keeping your back healthy. (easier said then done though I know!!)
