This is the way i see it...
If the government made pot leagal the forces would be free to go after more dangerous things like...heroin, meth, muderers, rapists, etc. I believe there would also be less crime due to the fact that alot of fights start because of money when it comes to drugs in general. What do you think?

Marijuana should not even be considered a drug. To people that have been smoking marijuana for a long time, it is like smoking a cigarette. A lot more people, older people as well, smoke. I wouldn't call it a "gateway drug". Sure, you might go on to do other stupid stuff, but it is not because of marijuana. It is just the most common drug that happens to be the safest. I find it MUCH safer for someone to be running around town STONED than DRUNK. Alcohol is worst than smoking, to me.

I think it's going to get smoked either way. So, why doesn't the government capitalize on something that people are going to smoke regardless? Because the government makes WAAAAAAY too much money right now slapping people with fines, convicting criminals, and what not with it being illegal. With it being legalized, also, people may end up losing their jobs because they won't have special "pot" taskforces and stuff like that.

I wouldn't care either way. I tried it a couple of times as a teeneager. I'm 27 now, I could honestly care less whether or not it's legal.

Peace out ya'll!

Yes, with restriction and regulations. Pot is..... what was I saying, OK let's get a pizza, what were you saying. OK if it were legal, then we could smoke in our houses, but not in public stuff like that, man. Also if we what? I was watching Slacker and thinking about if my life was really a dream, but then I got hungry, oh yeah, pepperoni and pineapples, Hawaiian dude.

OK seriously, yes, for the reason you said. It would free up law enforcement to pursue heroin, meth, cocaine dealers. And people wouldn't have to go to real drug dealers for a quarter. I think the only reason pot leads to other drugs, is going to dealers that also push more dangerous drugs.

FO SHEEZEEE

pot has recently been found to drastically reduce the risk of...ummm.... that disease that makes you forget things, or something, it's true and funny.

also pot is about as much of a drug as coffee

also if pot where legal kids wouldn't have to talk to people who sold E, Heroin Crack and PCP just to smoke a joint, they get just buy one at the 5 and dime.

also pot reduces short term memory, but that's not all bad. imagine how easy life would be if you remembered everyface you saw on the bus each day. imagine if you remember every ad you saw on TV. yeah pot helps you forget, but so what, i study high all the times and my grades will afrim it doesn't make you forget the things you need to know

Bravo. You've joined the group of rational people who are sick and tired of the violent crime caused by illegal drugs (remember what happened when booze was illegal in the US). And liquor is is a heck of lot more dangerous than pot. Just look at how many alcoholics are in rehabs in this country compared to pot smokers.

Pot is one of those things that some people are good on and some are not so many people as it is spend allot of money on it if they legalized it pot would be way more expensive, in fact they have legalized it in one state already well in one town but I think it makes some people with anger problems better, what kind of effects does it really have on your health it cant be all that healthy.

Not only should it be legalized, it should be mandatory you MUST get a buzz at least once a day. After almost forty years, my brain cells seem to still be working ok. No bullcrap, I bet my memory is better than eighty percent of the people I know. What was I saying? For those who know the truth, it's a non-issue. Stop making people into criminals for smoking weed. It's just not civilized. I've never been pulled over for a DUI. Thank you very much.

The reason they won't legalize pot is that everone who wanted to use it would grow their own and the government and other special interest groups wouldn't make any money from it. Can you see that happening?
