The parties that I have gone to that ask you to bring a white elephant gift means that it is an inexpensive "gag" gift. Something silly and off the wall maybe even a bit inappropriate that gets a good laugh. We brought a skimpy men's speedo suit once and that was hilarious. My Jr. Higher brought little girl crayons and coloring books to his Christmas party. The boys thought that was funny. You could even bring some gift that you got at some point that you think is lame or you know you will never use. Don't over think it and just have a blast. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!

The white elephant gift exchange is a popular party game played during the winter holiday season in the United States. The objective of the game is for guests of a party to each contribute one gift to the game, and ultimately each guest walks away with one gift from the game. Along the way is a random drawing to determine the order in which players get to unwrap gifts or "steal" previously opened gifts

Simply means bring a unisex gift worth about $10-15.00 for an exchange. Could be a popular DVD or CD, food gift set, candy set, large tin full of cookies, size XL sweatshirt, etc. Wrap it in Christmas wrap and have fun!

that's what i'm doing for the present exchange i'm doing Friday: because of the fact it particularly is a "white elephant" present exchange i'm getting a plastic variety of an elephant from a craft or pastime keep and am going to color it white. to characteristic some usefulness i'm going to draw close some festive Christmas rings from it particularly is ears. the ladies could like it and if a guy gets it i'm specific he can discover somebody to present the earings to.

It's a gift that nobody wants.
White elephants (albinos) are very rare animals, almost considered sacred. Looking after them cost an absolute fortune, so no Indian prince ever wanted to get one.

A "White Elephant" gift (at least what I understand) is something you may pick up at a flea market. It is sort of a gift you really don't want for yourself, but maybe someone else may want.
So, that may be a lot of things: cologne, hats, gloves,etc.- something nice and inexpensive. Sort of a "nice find" for whomever gets it.
