The first one:
5, 10, 15, 25, 40, 65 ...
5 + 10 = 15
10 + 15 = 25
15 + 25 = 40
25 + 40 = 65
The second one .. there doesn't seem to be enough information to do this one - it could be:
(working backwards)
42 - 6 = 36
36 - 12 = 24
24 - 24 = 0
0 - 48 = -48
-48 - 96 = - 144
(The amount being subtracted is doubled each time)
or it could be subtracting multiples of 6:
42 - 6 = 36
36 - 12 = 24
24 - 18 = 6
6 - 24 = -18
-18 - 30 = - 48
Hope this helps!

I think for the first one, it's 5, 10 15, 25, 40, 65
then for the 2nd one it's 0, 6, 18, 24. 36, 42
I would show you the work, but i gotta go right now. Sorry!

First Q.One answer could be
5, 10 15, 25, 40, 65
Start 5, 10, add these two together = 15
add 10 and 15 = 25, add 15 and 25 = 40
add 25 and 40 = 65....etc..
Second Q. Similarly 0, 6, 18, 24. 36, 42
0 add 6, add 12, add 6, add 12, add 6 ......etc.

I am sorry. I don't know what that is. If you are trying to find the pattern, look at the factors, substitution, and all that. Sorry I couldn't help! ~me
