Joe's Crab Shack!!!...We have birthday celebrations there all the time...the kids love the fun atmosphere but be prepared to get silly...I know there is one in city of Industry at the Puente hills Mall, call them for more locations. Dress casual.

All the restaurants listed before are great seafood restaurants, but if you want one family friendly and good for birthday celebration... I'd have to say Enterprise Fish Company in Santa Monica is the best place. Great Seafood, fun and lively atmosphere, public parking lot, large portions at a reasonable price, and best of all right off the 10 freeway so its not a haul on PCH...

There's a great seafood restaurant in Anaheim called The Catch. Anaheim Ducks and LA Angels players often dine there and the food is simply mouthwatering. The prices can get a little steep, but nothing out of the norm in comparison to other quality seafood restaurants. HTH!

I agree with those that said Joe's Crabshack! There is one in Redondo Beach.
The food is good, shrimp is awesome! The prices are good and the servings are big! They celebrate your birthday by singing to you and putting you in a silly outfit, as you walk around the restaurant waving to everyone. It is also family friendly. Go online and join their club, and you get a free appetizer - the calamari is delicious!
Have fun! ...oh , and they make the lobster eaters wear a bib.

Joes Crab Shack and Landrys ..same company .Look up Landry's Seafood on the internet..they have a bunch of other seafood places too but they will tell you on the net the closes one to you ..and 100 percent I can tell you from personal experience they are awesome!

I was going to recommend Joe's Crab Shack! There's also Bubba Gumps in Long Beach and The Original Fish Company in Los Alamitos (best clam chowder!) that are both family friendly.

Only thing I could think of is Todai... but it depends which one you go to. Glendale sucks. I think the one in Sherman Oaks is way better. Oo... if you live near canoga park... there's this really good seafood buffet called Zen... it's somewhere on victory, right across the street from the topanga mall

To me the best seafood is found on the coast... Ask the locals... Check the Internet... There is always Red Lobster... The taste is consistent...

Buco Di Beppo is always good, the atmosphere is fun and you can reserve a nice big room and have a ball. There is a Buco in Pasadena and one in Encino that I can think of.
