Because people who just start getting stupid with their questions in order to receive points.

The last time I checked you do get points for asking a question. I think it is 4 or 5. I know when you pick a best answer you get 3 points and you get 10 for being the best answer and of cource 2 points for just giving an answer. Check the next time you ask you will see up by your avatar it will say.

Because then people would just post stupid nonsense questions just to get points... Kind of like what used to happen before they made you lose points for asking a question... Trust me, it's for the better...

Really your only using 2 points to ask, due to getting 3 back for the best answer. Plus whomever gives you thumbs up you get points.

I guess how this works is that if you answer questions they give you points for being a smart *** but if your dumb *** you loose points...TA DA! :P :)
