my bro is filing for divorce from his wife of 6yrs.He is leaving her for an old gf from college. We just found out(from his wife)he also cheated on her(wife) with a coworker a few yrs ago. We(his family) always knew she wore the pants in the family and could be very nasty to him at times but cheat on her 2x?I asked him if he was so unhappy why did he not leave her sooner and he said he made a commitment to god and her to make it work.We are a very religious family and look down on divorce but isn't cheating worce? He also has a 1yr old child with her that is his world and wanted his son to have a perfect family life so he tryed to make it work for his sons sake.i do know hes very upset over this and is in therapy for it he said he feels like he has failed his son.My question is do you men by this? Can a man be so in love with his child and values to do whats right that he stays in a relalationship that makes him want to commit suicide and make him have to cheat multible times on his wife

Well I see were this guys is coming from but I think there is a communication break down in the marriage to cause him to stray. and because of the hurt feeling of one party which now appears to the outside world as a controlling woman. probably back when they first were together everything is peachy glory and now after the child, one of the them made the child the recipient of the attention and not the other thus leaving the other person to fight for the attention in a ruling manner. I am sure there is an underlying issue there. but now he has crossed the line of no return in a relationship and it would take a very forgiving person and years of counseling to bring them together yet the child is put in the middle. I just hope they do not use the child against the other.
There are always to sides to the story and we are only seeing one. Being in his position a few times, we feel we have to blame someone else, however of the times I went through this it was the lack of communicating my honest true feels and not taking the time to listen and understand the other side.

Commiting suicide is only given into the devil, God has bless your mother to bring you into this world so be thankful for that.
About your child... God also have given you a blessing to bring a son into this world and you should give him all the love and care you have in your heart and soul... no if's and or butts about it.. A son always needs a strong father to be there no matter what issuse is going on with adults.
Now about being married; there are two parts to each side, each will say something differenty about each other, but the fact is if you are not happy with in side your self about being with the person walk away with your head up high and be a man about it and ask god 4giveness and ask him and pray to take away the worries and pain..Never seek another person to take away the pain.. just pray and take care of your son.. there will be a beautiful days ahead.

My thinking is his wife was so controlling and mean spirited because he had been cheating on her and she was feeling a little sensitive about it. And his behaviors are the consequences of his actions. The only thing he feels guilty about is getting caught and the image of a perfect family he had portrayed making his wife the bad guy is now shattered. Exposing him for the true dog he has chosen to be. Just my opinion. God bless****

OMG!

Where do I even start with this one?

Well, first of all, a person CAN'T MAKE someone do anything they don't wanna do.

Second, if a person's is in a bad relationship, regardless of their religion, they should get out. Religion SHOULD NOT be the straight jacket used to force ANYONE to stay where they don't want to stay.

As for the other stuff, well, I hope he learned his lesson.

Never been in that situation, but I think if a woman is so controling with a guy, it could drive him to cheat, but the same can happen if a husband is controling with his wife that she would turn to cheating also. So yes it's possible.

The answer to your question is tes and no. It all depends on the individual. I hear you talk about being very religiuos. It does not seem that the wife is, because she is not submitting to her husband. If she was he would not be unhappy. If you guys are very religiuos why don't you get them some help thru the church. Hypocrites talk about what should be done but they themselves do nothing. Which are you?

No one can make anyone bad. As adults we make our own decisions in life and can not blame others for what we choose to do right or wrong. You & your family need to quit playing the blame game and stay out of your brothers life!!!

Too much religion makes people bad, too. Read the newspaper if you think I'm wrong.
