Get Microsoft's Defender to help clean the registry. Go in to your system configuration utilities and remove all the crap out of your startup, then go into the registry and remove entries from the RUN.

If antivirus solutions like Avast, AVG, or ClamWin paired with spyware cleaners like Ad-Aware and Spybot S&D don't work, you'll probably have to reformat and re-install. I wouldn't recommend the process to just anyone because it takes some level of familiarity with how computers work, so try running some of the programs that have been suggested before trying anything else.

statik_24 is correct! Download and update AVG Antivirus or Avast and run scans both normally and then in "Safe Mode" to completely remove viruses. Also download, update and run Ad-Aware and Spy-bot Search and Destroy in the same manner. Remove all programs that you are not using in "Add and Remove Programs" in the control panel. Then do a defrag.

You might not have to resort to buying a new hard drive. Try reinstalling your Operating System. If they viruses haven't already done too much damage, you can completely wipe out your computer and you don't have to pay anything. It is pretty simple. Just insert the original OS disc and follow instructions.

Yes, you can reformat you computer hard drive, unfortunalty you will lose everything on your computer as well, so if you want to do this save all important things on your hard drive to a disk or something so you can still have them

Yes you can, but it is an involved process, and you really need to know what you are doing. If your computer is infected, software now won't help you much. Is like getting vaccinated after getting the disease. Good luck
