I went twice, both were female doctors and knew it was my 1st and 2nd time and they were as careful as possible..it was so painful that I cried during the examination and the pain lasted for hours afterwards...both doctors said there was nothing wrong with me...and the 1st time I was actually really relaxed, because I believed all those women saying that it doesn´t hurt and wasn´t expecting any pain...please tell me I am not the only one...

The next time you have one, ask your doctor to use a pediatric speculum. I had no idea they made pediatric ones, but they do and because of their smaller size, they are more comfortable. After having a pap with both a pediatric and a size small "regular" speculum, I've found the pediatric one is less noticeable. The whole process should be along the lines of unpleasant, but certainly not painful nor should there be pain lasting after you leave. Although if you've never had sex before, then it is fairly painful the first time you have one. Hope that helps.

I am 34 and have four children...I find any gyn exam painful and usually have a small amount of bleeding afterward. Doctor told me I have very thin tissue in my vaginal canal, and a cervix that is off to the side due to a tilted uterus. To be honest I found that having sex the day of the exam seemed to help.

Normally, a PAP is nor very painfull. The movements of the brush inside the cervical canal is unpleasant, some women find it even painful. But believe me, it´s worth it.... cervical cancer or a conization is far more painful.

this would be a fullyyt stupid assertion. you haven't any longer any thesis or maybe the slightest concept what you're conversing approximately. i'm community American and we don't get into college for loose(someone-friendly false impression approximately community human beings). Your remark that "The community human beings we are purely utilising a small % of u . s .'s lands. somewhat tapping into the wealthy materials that this u . s . a . has." is authentic, it particularly is because of the fact we as community human beings weren't centred on taking extra effective than we mandatory, community human beings purely take what they mandatory to outlive and sustain, no longer waste away recourses so aggressively as is the prepare of many countries and human beings right this moment.

You're not. It really hurts for me too, but the pain didn't last afterwards. It just hurt a lot right then, and then I felt really faint and nauseous. I think it is normal, because it didn't concern my doctor.
