had him point to where it was hurting and he pointed to the lower left side and kind of pressed it to show me and said "ouch" when he did it. What could this be?

Constipation. Run warn bathwater, with 1/4 cup of baking soda dissolved in the water.Put him in the tub, with warm water up to his belly button. Then let him set there for at least 20 minutes. It usually works. If this does not work, call a nurse-line, or doctor on call.

Appendix are on the right, but some say the pain can be on opposite side. I do know that usually there is rebound pain with appendicitis. Rebound is the pain you feel, when you push in a little where the appendix are, and then when you release quickly, it is very painful.

If it is really low, pelvic area, then it could be a hernia.

Best to call the nurse line , or doctor on call and see what they think.

Good luck

Well Appendicitis is on the right side. Is he constipated? that could cause stomach problems. Otherwise, I would call the doctor, see what they say, but maybe watch him and see if it gets better.

Does he always complain about aches and pains? If this is a new thing then it could be something serious,

Has something in his life changed? Dad's work schedule, someone moved, death, something like that, sometimes they do this for attention.

Most likely there is soemthing wrong or it is just growing pains. Call your doctor, and get his opinion.

it could just be gas or fecis. If it continues for the next couple days take him to his pediatrician. Try rubbing his tummy from right to left in a down sort of motion. that way if it is just gas or fecis he should be able to go after a couple hours.
