Isn't it funny how we blame a storm on deaths?

We don't reserve for what may be poor judgement of the drivers who are speeding in the snow...driving on bald tires...talking on the cell...tailgating...aggressive driving...ALL done during the snowstorm...

So let's blame the storm? Isn't it great to live in a no-it's-never-my-responsibility society in failure, but we are always taking the credit for things we never did?

Amazing...really.

I do agree with Sleek in one sense because I think the primary point of her comment is ignorance, at least it should be. If the weather is that extreme only an imbecile would expose themselves to it. It's like the guy who says, "I didn't drive into that tree, it just jumped out at me".

I've spent hours trying to work out how a car loses control and crashes into a tree killing it's occupants. I can only guess that with some drivers the car is more in control than them. It really P's me off when I see idiots driving while on the mobile and quite often with a cigarette in the other hand. Could it be that they have so little respect for their own lives they couldn't give a damn about anybody elses.

Have you had to drive through an ice storm? Have you had the wind cut your eyes while freezing rain fills your ears in 50 MPH gusts? Do you live in a stormy snowy part of the country? Have you stayed outside a moment too long and despite being covered in layers of clothing, lost all feeling in your limbs and cheeks? I understand YOUR point, but sometimes is literally IS you against the elements and on days like that it is best to stay home if you can.

Very true. There are many poor drivers out there and a storm doesn't get them any wiggle room. I had to drive since my school was one that didn't close. Thankfully those around me were responsible drivers.
