she is her magazine and her show.
she is her book club.
she has been around for decades and was an actress at one point
and of course
she is a STRONG BLACK LADY!!

Being a smart business woman and catering to the needs and ideas of her audience and giving them what they want and expect from a respectable talk show host. She is also very smart by owning the production company (Harpo) by which she can have total control over everything she does. Instead of someone else benefiting at her expense and hard work she took control over the moves she makes and what she does. It cuts out the middle man and means less politics and more money in her pocket. Her formula for success is great and she invests her money in other things.

She gets paid A LOT for her show, and I'm sure her magazine does fine as far as money goes. Oprah deserves every penny she gets. She does so much for other people and uses her fame for a good cause.

Not only is she a billionaire, but she is the richest single woman in the world. She is rich because her show is one of the only good show for many women to watch. Jerry Springer and Montel Williams are men, they just don't understand what women want to see in a show. Not only that, but many women can identify to her and her problems.

She is a very savvy business woman and has made many good investments. She owns the Dr. Phil show and the Rachel Ray Show. She has her own line of clothes and fragrances and she has her own movie company. She supports all kinds of charities and she travels with the best in the business. She is one smart and classy woman.

If your name is Oprah you do. She is syndicated World Wide! the size of her tv audience is huge, so as people above have stated that mean big advertising money, plus the show is every day, so that is advertising dollars each day. And of course she is smart with her money ;).

She gets paid quite a bit of money for her show (about $20 million annually). It's all about the advertising time. The more popular the show, the more they can charge for time.
Also, money is a verb; the more you have to invest, the more you're going to earn.
