The mystery is " how can we keep millions of people watching a program that is set up like a rubik's cube. Every turn screws something or someone else up. I know let's create a television show that has no beginning and no end and see how long we can continue this"
If they continue on this path, they will lose audience and Lost will really be a "lost" show.

Firstly "The Others" are controlling the whole island, even down to the "polar bears" (mechanical bears maybe?). The Others are part of the Dharma Initiative. The survivors plane was brought down by The Others and the survivors are being taught a lesson in life? Quite why this is so Im not sure and I could be completely wrong! Just my theory!

There are many myseries...but FIRST I would like to say that the writers and producers of Lost DO know what will happen. They don't have every season written down yet, but they DO know the answers. Here's what I think on the myseries:
THE NUMBERS are the coordinates.
THE MONSTER transforms into the thing in your life that needs to be "fixed" ex:Jack and his dad, Eko and Yemi, Sawyer and the boar, Hurley and Dave, Kate and her hosre...etc.

I think the real mystery is how that show still has viewers given the fact that the writers are clearly making it all up as they go and have NO IDEA what they're going to say or do next.

The writers of the show are in reality mental health subjects in experiments incarcerated on set and accounts for the disparate plots and story-lines of the show, produced due to lack of correct prescriptions.
Mystery solved, now onto the case of the missing tape of last night's Eastender's!

No mystery. I don't think the writers know how it's going to end and they're screwing with us for the time being.

I think no one knows, not even the creators, they just make it up as they go, no mystery will ever be salved, only more will keep coming untill the show is cancled and leaves up all hanging....
