That's not normal. Are you obsessive about other things too? A doctor could help.

Try not to focus so much on the missing of a signifigant other, and think more of what you can do for yourself. Maybe you need to relieve yourself, fanasize. Try getting a pet, a plant, or a new hobby. Hope that helps. Remember you don't need someone else to keep you happy. Find ways to be happy by yourself, then you will find the right person. And there's always the bar. Just remember to use your better judgement.

If it hurts, do something about it.Combine positive thinking with action Being positive alone might help mentally but can't fill the void inside you. You know what you need . If it's love, then find ways to meet more people, expand your social circle, such as sign up for a course, a hobby (you can upgrade yourself and at the same time make new friends), do voluntary work (you can help the needy and make new friends), join gatherings, etc. Things will only happen if you do something. Otherwise, you will keep feeling the same way. Happiness is yours , you owe it to yourself to find it. No one will do it for you , only yourself . GO FOR IT !!!!

Go to sleep. Why are you up in the middle of the night? If you mean in the evening hours before sleep, you can still keep busy with other things up until you go to bed. Take some Valerian (herb) to help you sleep.

Go ahead and have a good cry. Read a book and do things to make yourself feel better about you. Get your hair cut, take a soak. take a class at a votech and build up your confidence. When you feel better about YOU, then you will be okay with the situation.

Visit your doctor and ask for some sleeping aid or anxiety medication. It can be a real drag to lay awake at night, feeling sad. In time, you will feel better - but for now, the meds can help to "take the edge off".

It's just something you have to adjust to...make bedtime a pleasant experience...pamper yourself...take a bubble bath with candles, put clean sheets on the bed...put on your comfiest pjs...curl up with a good book and your favorite beverage...snuggle down into your bed and read and enjoy until you drift off to sleep...sprawl out on the bed and enjoy having it all to yourself...
You'll have a partner again...don't let lonliness cause you to make a poor choice just to keep from being alone...revel in your freedom and independance...
Make every chapter of your life as special and happy as you can...the single chapters and the couples chapters. It's all up to you. :)

put a tv in your room. don't let your head have "free time" to get yourself in a lonley state of mind. Its not easy, but try and remember, that what your feeling is right now, and not forever. It does get better. One day you will be asking yourself why you let yourself have these depressing feelings over someone who had taken you for granted.

Buy a thoughtless movie that you can see over and over again. I recommend Monty Python. You don't need to enjoy it. Its something for your mind to watch that has lots of details to catch. It will keep your mind busy so you can get tired and sleep.
