Good, but I liked it on stage better. Saw it here in L.A about 5 years ago with a surprisingly good Teri Hatcher (pre-Desperate Housewives) as Velma Kelly (played by Catherine Zeta-Jones onscreen). The only thing that somewhat cheapened the movie for me was that it was a movie about Chicago but was filmed in Toronto.

Since Chicago was a stage production of Bob Fosse's, you might also enjoy "All That Jazz" from the 70's and "The Cotton Club" (another Richard Gere film).

Chicago is one of my favorite movies ever! It is fabulous in every way...the story, the movie, the acting, the music, the cinematography, the screenplay, etc. You've got to watch it either in the theater or on a good home theater movie to really appreciate all it has to offer. I've got the music CD in my car and listen to it often. (And of course, I've got the DVD in my collection as well)

Watch it again, and again. It's one of those movies you appreciate more with each veiwing.

I was pleasantly surpised when I saw it in theaters years ago.

Cathy-Zeta J, D ick Gere and Renee Z are great in the movie.

Notable mentions must also go to Taye Diggs, Queen Latifah, and Lucy Liu.

KUDOS!

I liked it alot, haven't seen it in a while, but it's a good one. I've always wanted to be in the actual broadway production. That would be awesome!
