If so, is AVG free worth it?

If you don't have an antivirus program, then you might as well loan your computer to a hacker. But, yeah you really do. Every milisecond you are in contact with the internet, and you dont have a firewall, the chances that you'll get a virus or trojan etc. is roughly 80/100.

While you can still get on the internet without it, it is most definitely the safest way to surf the web. Without virus protection, you run the risk getting malicious software on your computer that can cause major damage.

I prefer Antivir, but you should try out all of the different free antivirus programs (but not all at once, that could cause damage to your computer as well.) and see which one you like the best.

Any computer that accesses the internet needs antivirus, and yes, AVG free is as good as there is.

It is a VERY good idea to have anti-virus software on your computer. And yes, AVG Free 7.5 is a great program that will scan itself and you can almost completely ignore it. It is also fairly small in size.

No, some of us are intelligent enough to know where viruses come from! I havent had PC problems on any of my computers for years other than the one PC I allow a few teens to run! I will tell you this too! It makes NO difference how much anti virus software, anti spyware, and other tools I have used can keep that particular PC from bein corrupted! Anti virus software gives a user a false sense of security! Good anti virus software slows your PC down too much to begin with and any anti virus software that doesnt slow you down aint doin its job! If you seriously want to know what causes problems on your PC, contact me! If you dont want the truth, dont waste my time!

AVG is JUNK. I recommend active virus shield. It is the best and it is free.
