It totally depends on what it is that happens. For example, lets say you dream a set of numbers and then played them and won $10,000.00. I would call that a great dream. On the other hand, if you dream up a set of numbers and then played those numbers and nothing happened, then I would call that an unfulfilled dream.
Premonition may be the word you are looking for, but it is a theory of mine that your subconscious is constantly running through your activities, worries, hopes and dream and actual experiences and much, much more.
Something happens or something reminds you of something your mind already dream about and it seems like a premonition, but what it actually is, is a thought process or the memory of a thought within a thought process that your subconscious has already mocked up and run forwards and backwards.
So you recognize the experience.
