My baby was born at 37 weeks and didn't have to spend any extra time in the hospital. She is now a perfectly healthy 9 month old.

Okay, everyone telling you SURE, ABSOLUTELY, YOU BET, should NOT be telling you that. I had to have my son at 37 weeks, and i was worried too. Everyone said that is "close" to term and he will be fine. Yeah, guess what? He wasn't. He had severe pneumothrax's and was in the NICU for 8 days. Gee, i'm sure glad everyone said he would be fine.
The point is, GENERALLY, everything should be fine. But there is NO way to tell for sure. I would stay positive, because there isn't a ton to be worried about, but it still isn't 39, 40 weeks. Everyday makes a big difference. IF your baby doesn't need to be delivered at 37 weeks, then wait.
37 weeks is better than 35, 34, etc, etc.
So think positive, and if anything should go wrong, your baby will probably be strong enough to overcome it!
Good luck!

there is a risk with any pregnancy weather it is full term early or late but i had my second daughter just last year who was born at just 32 weeks she is now a very happy and healthy 14 month old even if she still only weighs 17lb
by the sound of things yourself and your doctors are awear of a potential premature birth which is even better as they will be prepared for it so will be able to do all they need if anything
many many children are born premature and if they give babies of 23 week a chance of suvival then i really think you have very little to worry about
all the best for the future but remember dont stress and worry too much as this to could have a adverse affect on the birth of your child too be calm relaxed and enjoy
so long as you have medical support then you will be in safe hands and the best place for both you and baby

Anywhere from 36 to 40 weeks is considered full term, your baby would be just fine, they like to have the baby born the closest to 40 weeks, just because of growth and different things, but a 37 weeks your baby could be just as heathly. Your baby will decide when it is ready to come.

It all depends, chances are he will be fine. Doctor's are giving babies born after 36 excellant survival rates with minimal problems. They are even giving a baby born at 28 weeks over a 50% chance of survival. There have been great medical advances recently.
My baby was born 6 DAYS early, 8lbs6oz and still had problems requiring a 9 day stay in the NICU.
