The best way to approah a girl who is insecure of her self is to compliment her through your discussions and make it a usual habit so that slowly you will heingthen her self confidence. This is in a way like reverse phycology and trust me you will change her dramatically.

For one thing, don't compliment her ALL the time; she'll probably think your faking/exaggerating, and won't believe you. If you do notice that she is looking particularly beautiful one day (maybe because it's a special occasion, or maybe just because) then compliment her, either on something specific (your hair looks amazing today) or just in general (wow, you look really nice today). Chances are, if you noticed she looked better than normal, so did she, and she'll appreciate both that you noticed, and that you take the time to tell her.

She has issues poor thing. Keep assuring her and suggest she gets some professional help. There is something rooted in her feeling this insecure that neither you or I know or can even begin to understand. She has been wounded somewhere, somehow by someone she trusted and should have been looking out for her.

All you can do is keep reassuring her that you think she is beautiful and let her know about other compliment that other give your regarding her; hopefully it will eventually sink in. Be careful though because some girls play insecure just because they are fishing for compliments.

You can't do anything for her. She has to accept herself for who she is, insecure people can not be helped by others. They will not believe your compliments, she needs to look inside herself and see why she feels like this...and then address the problem.

Make her feel beautiful. Maybe make a written list of all the great things about her. Then tell her the only thing not beautiful about her is her insecurity and that may help her be more optimistic.

Shy potential what? Quiet, no longer vocal? Quietness isn't a demonstration of lack of self assurance, consistent with hazard they do merely no longer choose to talk or purely get excitement from specific conversations. i'm very quiet, yet seen outspoken because of the fact I usually talk my techniques whilst something is substantial, and whilst i've got confidence something has been neglected, or whilst something desires to be suggested yet no person else will. yet i'm no longer the lady who merely walks in the door rambling approximately each and every element of my telephone call with mom or approximately how the beautician screwed up her haircut. i think of girls are seen shy whilst they are quiet, yet i think of the term is imprecise.

You need to make her secure about things other than her looks. Look at your statement its all about looks and its her looks that you are attracted to. She is insecure that its the only thing you care about. Looks can change for a million reasons and she knows it. She is afaid if her looks change you will no longer want her.

hmmm just make sure to treat her right and show her how much you care, also compliment her as often as she is comfortable with...hopefully this does not turn into anything serious like an eating disorder or anxiety disorder...

You can't do anything about it. She will have to change her own perspective and views about herself. She seems to have low self esteem. I say, show her people who look much worse. Show her how fortunate she is.
