While Zetterberg did have a breakout year last season, Detroit also lost a lot of firepower in the offseason, most notably Brendan Shannahan, and this has certainly caused a decline in his production. Also, he's on a team with Pavel Datsyuk, who is gonna take a lot of the ice time and production unless they start playing on the same line. I'd suggest permanently curbing expectations on Zetterberg unless he gets some better players on his line.
Alfreddson has also suffered due to production from other places (see: Jason Spezza/Dany Heatley), however he's also always playing on a line with at least one of them, and often times both, so I'd expect him to get out of this rut soon enough.
My suggestion, keep Alfreddson, try to trade Zetterberg. Don't drop him though unless no one's offering you anything reasonable and someone you can get off of FA is a lot better than him.

If you can look into either trading or dropping Zetterberg for Thomas Vanek. Detroit is playing with a defense first approach this year, and although eventually Zetterberg may start to score again it probally wont be as much as last season. Vanek however is a pretty unknown guy unless you live in Buffalo of a really big hockey fan. You could probally pick him up fairly cheap in a trade, or he may even still be out there if FA land. He has already put up 30 points this year 10 goals 20 assists (I think). It would be a pretty smart move!

As long as you are still doing well hang on to both of them. You wont get fair trade value and most guys that are still FA also have histories of not producing over the course of the season. The biggest thing to remember is these are both guys in their lates 20's (when most players tend to peak) and over the course of a season skill players tend to gravitate to their career numbers.Plus consider each team is likely to make moves, you may see Alfredson traded to improve the Senators and wherever he may end up he will surely be counted on as their first line top scorer and expect the Wings to make a trade for a top offensive scorer who will likely be paired with Zetterberg and take some of the pressure off him ( they just cleared 2.5 million in cap space, a deal seems likely very soon). Plus Zetterberg has picked up the scoring pace lately.

I would hold on to those two. They put up numbers every year and I would think that they will get hot and carry your team for one of the three quarters of a season left. That is how you end up winning these leagues, by staying with proven players who slump a bit at the start. I would guess that you drafted them pretty early. Do you really want to drop Alfredesson and pick up a Scott Mellanby who has started strong. If Mellanby or someone of his ilk ends up with better numbers then an Alfredsson the Hockey Gods just were not with you. I would say hold.

I have Alfredsson in my pool and at times, I think I should trade him. But, he is an excellent player and I have a feeling he'll bust out anyday now.
Zetteberg hd a breakout year last year with 85 points. The two years before we're average. He too will breakout of this slump...
Hang on to both and be patient a little longer.

ALFREDSSON = long as he stays healthy, he'll add to your team (especially now that Ottawa is on the move).
ZETTERBERG = he's Toast! Look thru teams in your League, see who has Datsyuk and offer Zetterberg to them for whoever you need.

good players generally work out in the long term especially if they are on
decent teams ...................since this fits both players i would hold on to them....
chances are anything you are offered now is a far insupeior player who
is having a career year.....i would only trade them if you are completely out of
it and can get some cheap players that you can protect for next year.....
good luckl

I'll take both guys, but consider Chris Pronger Anaheim, if you don't have him on your fantasy Hockey team, you don't have a Prayer.
