I didn't grow up with my family nor my relatives. When I was about 6 yrs old my mother gave me and my siblings up. I've lived most of my life on the west coast. I'm trying to find information about my ancestories. I feel like I'm hitting a brick wall. Two years ago I reunited with my mother for answers about my family history. I'm not getting any answers from her. Can someone help me, Please. Thank you.

If you are in the area where your mother lives, contact the local chapter house where your mother lives. The chapter house is sort of like a community center and is also the local governmental center. They should be able to help you find any relatives in the general area. Typically, in any given area, everybody knows everybody and you will more than likely be related by blood or marriage to quite a few people.

If you aren't in the area, you will have a difficult time getting help though. Send me an email and I might be able to help you. Also, check out

It's a website for Dinè, aka Navajos, who talk about music and other things. You can ask around there to see if you can get any help. It's a long shot but you'll never know until you ask.

That's a good idea to contact the locals around the chapter. No doubt they would know your mother or your mother's relatives and you'll be able to correspond with them. BUT if they are from the remote part of the rez, they will be totally different from you. I was born in the Bay Area and moved to the Chinle area while in high school - stuck out like a sore thumb especially to my cousins. I've got to know them very well but we still have a gap to overcome.

I think there's a Navajo website (I'm sure I've been there before) try doing a search and maybe they can help you!

i might say money tree, yet i already have been given a money tree in terms of company so a donut tree that produces all forms of donuts that are no longer undesirable for you would be heaven in a bow.
