don't say anything. Just do. Take him food....and do it in three weeks, too, not just tomorrow! Make sure he knows you're there if he needs anything, but don't expect him to ask. After my husband died people would ask, Is there anything I can do? or If I can do anything let me know....I never did. But I sure did appreciate the friends who came and just did it! Made me go out to lunch, etc. Drop by on a weekend morning and take him to breakfast! There's really not a lot you can say that will make him feel better, unfortunately. Just pray for him and stick around....don't make yourself scarce....aquaintances are all over the place right now, but in a couple of weeks the loss really sinks in and everyone has gone on with their life, that's when it can get really sad for him. You're a great friend for caring! Good luck and God bless!

Invite him to hang out with you and your friends. Don't ask questions... you've never been through that sort of thing, so you have no idea what you're talking about. And you know, you can tell him that. Just say, "You know, I have no idea what you're going through... all I know is how to be a friend, so that's what I'll keep doing for you." Don't be offended if he avoids you for a while. Just keep inviting him to stuff. When he does talk, be quiet, drop everything and listen. That's what being a friend's about. He'll come around.

Perhaps you are having a hard time talking to your friend because it is still too soon and you just do not know what to say. Get your friend a card, like thinking of you, or you are in my thoughts and prayers, or maybe even a blank one. Write in the card that you are there for him and want him to know that you will be there whenever he is ready to talk, or just needs to be with someone. God Bless you and your friend.

oh it happens in real life.. all you can do is offer hugs as he will think he inherited manic depression which leads to suicide if not treated with pills. he will think it is something he had done wrong these are the things he will be thinking as he will be thinking and asking why he needs answers so go to sites of local support groups fro hI'm and offer the sites to him as he will need help. he will need you for sup0port and a shoulder.. and tell him ya know i cant imagine your loss but im here for you and maybe he can spend the night sometime if hes lonely and scared. separate rooms of course. he will need a true friend to know hes ok and will be.talk to your school counselor and ask how can u get support groups for him to go to and where and go with him maybe

Tell him that you're there for him when he wants to talk. I have a friend in a somewhat similar situation, and he doesn't really want to talk about it right now. If he does talk to you, just listen. He might not want any advice or reassurance because everybody is trying to load it onto him. Really, a person commits suicide for LOTS of reasons, not just becasue of any single one. But it's not his fault. And it happens for a reason: hopefully he will become stronger for it. Just remember to be a good friend to him!

just let that person know how sorry you are and be honest...tell him that you wish you had the right words, but you just don't even know what to say. let him know that you are there for him and if he just needs to cry to someone, you are there to let him cry. just you being a friend and being there will mean so much when words don't even come close to expressing your deepest sympathy. sorry to hear that. that's awful.

you want to get qualified help from diverse adults immediately away. you do not choose something to ensue that spins out of control that you'll regret for ever and ever. GET help quickly. call adults you note of. tell them the coolest purchase. in the journey that your mom needs a psych ward there are different approaches. she will bypass to a therapist and get certification or she will in looking help. do no longer enable her to allow you to recognize to do something adversarial to the legislations. say you're sorry. ask him if he needs anything. be there for him..everyday check in just to say 'hey'...hang out with him. don't expect anything from him. it is more important that you just be there. buy him a card of condolences or maybe a journal so he can write down his thoughts/feelings...grief is very personal and with each person it is different...
