What you actually need to do is learn to openly fall asleep while sitting at your desk, and still have enough of your brain engaged so that you hear the lesson droning on. I did this repeatedly in college. And the professor would ALWAYS try to catch me out by asking me a question on the info he had just covered. But since I never completely shut down, I could always answer him. It takes the fun away for the professor, and they learn to leave you alone pretty quickly.
BTW my average exam result was 96%.

Pinch yourself in the palms or on the thighs. Don't do it so hard that it will make a bruise, but hard enough to keep you awake.
I fell asleep in high school all the time and never got caught...

Practice the lost art of sleeping with your eyes open. It was all the rage when assassins were popular with certain folk, but it comes in handy during second period too.

Ha ha... I tilt my face downwards so that my hair covers eyes and then I just close my eyes... Someone asked me if I had a hangover because of the expression on my face the other day!

learn to sleep with your eyes open, or wear dark sunglasses! or you could sit in the very back of the class where people don't notice as much.

I sit with my shoulders high to my ears, lean my forearms on the desk, and pretend to be engrossed in my notebook and/or text. I always wear my hair down...
