As in: why are you here in the psychology section answering questions?

Did you study about this?
Do you have an innate ability to understand the human mind?
Do you just have generally good advice?
Are you lost and don't know where you are?

This is sort of a psychology question in and of itself

Well, I'm actually looking for answers at questions I didn't asked! Just browsing...

But to fit your criteria: 1. Yes, 2. Yes (or at least I think so), 3. Yes, 4. No - I actually like this section!

I am here because the study of Psychology is my passion. I have a BS in Psychology (as well as a BS in Computer Science). I had taken twice the amount of Psychology classes to attain my degree (which in turn added about four extra semesters before I got my degrees), contributed to numerous research studies, and read all that I could about new things that I had learned in classes (i.e. would read all the latest research; visit my local bookstore and buy scores of books on the subject that I was interested in at that time), while a student.

Since I graduated 2 years ago, I have been a software engineer and haven't had much involvement in conducting research. However, I have been zealously reading whatever I can find on diverse subjects within the domain of Psychology.

I visit the Psychology section of Yahoo! Answers because I feel that I should share anything that I have learned (and am still learning) with others, in the guise of an answer. These answers can be helpful when they are well thought-out, insightful, and backed by sources. You may see questions posted here that you may think are trivial. However, they actually may have some degree of salience to the one who had asked it. So I try my best to enlighten the asker with my answer.

I'm killing time till 5:30, and I answered a question on sarcastic people and this was the next question. However, in an effort to provide an accurate answer based on the parameters provided, I would say.....well number 4, except I do know where I am, and I'm not really lost.

I did have a psychology class in college, and I have seen a therapist and been in rehab twice. So , well, I guess you could call that a work study. So maybe the better answer is the first one.

I'm actually not in the Psychology section... just the main Answers home page. And i'm not answering a whole lot of questions either.

I'm just at work and it's slow. And we can't play any games on the work computers anymore. :P

I'm here to share my thoughts and to and to see what other people's thoughts are. This is how we learn things.
