IF that test came out positive, you're pregnant. PERIOD.
It is NOT okay to use a tampon. Use a pad. I know it feels like a diaper, but a tampon can increase the risks of a few things much more unpleasant (like toxic shock, which is caused by a resistant strain of staphylococcus).
Set up an appointment with your doctor, and get ready to be a mommy.

Having a false negative is pretty common. Having a false positive, on the other hand, is very rare. Using a tampon should not harm the baby any, but would suggest using a pad if possible.

According to my doctor, it's more unlikely to have a false positive than a false negative. Usually, if your test reads that you have a positive result, more than likely, it's positive. Please don't use a tampon -- use a pad or a liner. Are you bleeding that much that you need to use a tampon anyway???

you are more likely to get a false negative then a false positive.
if u took a test and it came up positive go to your Dr for another test you are probably pregnant. ( tests are like 99.8% accurate)
the test will only be positive if u have HCG levls in your urine.
i would use a pad as tampons can cause infections.
good luck i hope u get the result u want

NO TAMPONS!
A false positive is unlikely, so if you are in doubt, take another test.
You shouldn't be bleeding enough to warrant a tampon anyway (or was that just my personal experience?) so a sanitory towel will do.
Please go and see you doctor as soon as possible :)

False positives are rare, but they happen. I had one once. Go see your doctor. Good Luck!
