the doctor and had a blood test(to check cholosoterol) and had a EKG and everything came out good. The doc said my blood test showed that I was in very good health and I even went off birth control thinking that maybe it was why I was having chest pains. I have gaines 25 pounds over the last year but I am not overweight or anything and I canot figure out why I am having these pains. They are not terible pains and dont wake me up or anything but it just feels like a big bruise ight abover my breast. Should I have my breast checked too? The doc said it could easily be stress. What else can I do? Should I just try to do some type of yoga or what?

I am not a smoker. I have never done any type of drug. It just feels like a big bruise above my right breast and sometimes it moves to my left. I had an x ray done and it showed good.

If you had good bloodwork and a quality EKG it's probably not cardiovascular. Usually heart problems show up well in tests.

Yoga or other meditation/relaxation techniques are not a bad idea, if these attacks are stress-related. Talking to a doctor (either your GP or a mental health specialist) about medication is another option.

Another possibility, since it sounds like you are getting them when you lie down, and you mentioned you've gained some weight, is that you've got gastric reflux (heartburn). That's when your stomach acid backs up a bit and hurts part of your esophagus. It feels painful right in the area of your heart, and can be severe enough to send people to the emergency room thinking they are having a heart attack. There's a link below, check it out.

i have very similar pains during different stages of my cycle. It can be caused by hormonal changes during your cycle. Go back to your doctor and have your breasts checked at different times of the month as these changes can be picked up with an ultrasound. This will also rule out any other problems.. I have this condition aprox 2-3 weeks of every cylce. Very annoying at times but there is no medical remendy for it. I take Evening Primrose Oil and this helps considerably.
But see your doctor again !!!!
PS You are never too old or too young for breast problems !!!!!!
Cheers Hope this helps
PPs an xray will not show tissue changes in the breast and a mammogram is not very effective in detecting these changes in someone under 40

You don't say if u've ever been a smoker. If you feel a certain heaviness on your chest, it could be your lungs inflated. Do an x-ray. Best of luck.

You should go to a cardiologist. There are rarer heart conditions that general practitioners would not recognize if it slapped them in the face. (A friend of mine has one.) I'm not saying there IS anything wrong, but it doesn't hurt to check.
