Some ideas for you: Salvation Army, the church you attend, friends and family? I would look into any of these sources for some possible help. Also, if you haven't already, sit down with the children and explain to them what is going on. Kids are usually pretty good when you are upfront and honest with them. Maybe tell them that you promise to give them a special Christmas as soon as you get back on your feet.

Have them each make a list of three things they want. Explain to them that money is tight they are older and they should understand. Its the spirit not the presents. The older ones might even give up their presents for the 2 7 year olds. There are charties out there 2 help u provide food for your kids that is the most important thing. Hope u have a Merry Christmas things will get better.

Salvation Army, Catholic Social Services, Toys For Tots, Tots Connection, local churches, food banks, Welfare(food stamps), family and friends..I live below poverty and still manage to provide Christmas for a few children, the trick is to start earlier as not to strain the budget. Shop at Goodwill and Dollar stores for less expensive gifts. Buy one or two gifts at a time. Good Luck and may God Bless.

I'm sorry thast things are hard for you right now, but why are you leaving this so late? most places that offer help took names down almost a month ago. this is something you knew about and Christmas comes the same time every year so you should have looked for help sooner. you could try a community care in your area is there is one or local churches or shelters. I also think at your kids ages, they should be able to understand if you cant provide a Christmas for them. Its not about gifts. Try and get some food and clothing for them. or ask family for help.

Oh I am so so sorry. God Bless you and your children. I can empathize. I would call all of the local churches in your town and surrounding towns, talk to each of your kids schools (there are ways of doing fundraisers in ways that even your kids wont know what is going on, they did so for me), talk to Angel Tree, the Salvation Army, believe it or not some jails also might be able to help, talk to the community center (they should be able to help), talk to some of your family and family friends too.
God Bless you and your kids, you will all be in my prayers.
I hope that you can find joy this holiday season.
Sincerely
Sara

Buy a game that you can all share and build them a gider. Im from Scotland and thats what my mum done for us when she couldnt afford xmas but it was the best xmas ever. long plank of wood with 2 sets of pram wheels and a seat. Loads of fun. Then have a treasure trail of sweets in the house. the boys will love it. Why not make your girl a dress- she will love it. let her design it and lend her your make up. By the way i am only 25 incase you think I am a gran. I was a kid during the miners strike when most men in my village did not work for 8 months.
hope this helps

Please call 1-800-242-4118 they are a marketing panel for taste testers. They pay $15.00 cash the same day. it's not alot but it helped me when I needed to get a little food for the day. May God be with you for a speedy recovery.
Also, call your local firemen they may be able to direct you to churches and other shelters helping those in need. Toys for tots
Also, pull out some board games and have a day of games with your kids. Have some munchies and put on some music and just spend some time with the kids laughing and singing. maybe bake cookies together. God bless you and your family.

Have you contacted Toys for Tots? They could help you with the presents for your kids. Some of your local chruches might also have Christmas food drives. You could get your food there to take home to make a Christmas dinner (They've given turkeys away before) if you're short on money (it should be free! ^_^). I hope my advice helps, and I hope you'll be able to work things out. ^_^

I was a single mom with a dead beat dad. My kids never really got anything outstanding and sometimes the things they received were used. I would go to the thrift stores on their sale days (around here they have .50 cent day) and buy them things I thought they'd enjoy.
Also, go the salvation army and put your kids names in there for toys. You'll have to stand in line forEVER, but it could be worth it. If you attend a church, they could possibly have a gift tree there you could put your kids names on as well. There are ways to do it.
