Browns and purple are very good on green eyes; brown brings out the green in them and purple makes your eyes stand out. Good luck!

First and foremost, let me say that you should NOT use blue eyeshadow on your green eyes; it will make you look like a harlot... Blue is better worn by people with brown eyes. Also, it is a mistake to try to match your eye color with what you are wearing, contrary to what some of these answers dictate. Sometimes, there are just colors that should never be put on anyone's eyes... like red and canary yellow for example. Almay has a trio of eye colors for green eyes called Intense iColor. It has a medium, soft plum purple for the lid, dark forest green for the crease, and light green for the brow bone / highlight. When applied lightly and correctly, it will make the green in your eyes come out beatifully. They also sell eye liner and mascara to go with the eyeshadow trio. The eyeliner is a dark purple and the mascara is dark with a hint of green in it. When used properly, it is an amazing product. The trio, liner, and mascara sell for around $7 each.

I bought eyeshadow from Almay that has eyeshadows specifically for each color of eyes.Mine are green and you're supposed to put a plum color on your eyelid, then a dark green in the crease then a light green to highlight.Any of those colors are supposed to bring out the green.

I use plums, pinks, corals, and softer bronze. The feature I
learned was by coincidence. I have larger green and quite
plant green, I was vee jaying and found out I looked cleaner in
the lighter natural coloring. I did not do as well with clients,
dancers or bands when I used aqua, dark, purples, or whites.
I guess the style is that the product is very good. Wonderlash,
any physicians formula, bare essencuals. If they are almond,
or very lite, my friends like those colors like barbiees sparkle
shellgold, bronzevanilla, and plums all seablue. For the higher
green deep I would say, olivetans, spacestars yellows, and
maybe coral plum, for real deep greens say banana leaf, the
matchup is indeed rare. Here I use olivesparkleblaze, and
radiant orangetwists for j lo. I like her with medium sea violet,
and lavendar dark cameos bronze, hail cleopatra.

I have green eyes too..and i read in a magazine that sheer lavender/purple eyeshadow brings out the green. So i use purple lightly on my eyelids and everyone compliments my eyes!
Good luck!

There really is no best shade in my opinion. There are so many different ones that look good. Just switch around so you won't get bored. I like plum, pink, brown and gold. Always use a light--white or shiny cream shade all over your eyes up to the brow line though, to give your eyes a highlight effect. That really looks good. I think a great eyeliner tops it off.

Purple looks really pretty on green eyes, makes 'em pop.. Gold looks pretty too, if you have a warm complexion. When you use the purple, line your eyes with a silver or white to really accentuate the color. -Smiles and styles-

I think maybe a gold. One of my friends has green eyes and she had a green eyeliner, and she put it on the top and bottom of her eyes. She got soooo many compliments.
